DOST donates digital library to Candijay school

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) turnovered on Wednesday a digital library, StarBooks, to Candijay Municipal Science High School.

The DOST, by developing the StarBooks, is making the resource learning materials more accessible to students.

The StarBooks contains the K to 12 modules.

DOST said the StarBooks could be used even by the schools where there’s no internet signal yet.

The turnover ceremony was witnessed by DOST representatives of provincial director Vina Antopina, Rep. Alexie Besas-Tutor, Mayor Toper, Kag. Along Olandria, Kag. Bernales Epay Eppie Madula, Brgy. Kag. Rica Diao, PSDS Maura Busano, CandiSci Head Atet Corsiga, PTA Pres. Renato Campoamor and Candijay Science teachers.

Tutor said the StarBooks will be useful not only to the students but to the teachers as well.

“A well-deserved set of learning materials to boost, inspire & motivate our students and teachers especially our Robotics Team headed by Ma’am Thata Celeres,” said Tutor.

The Candijay Robotics team was Top 3 World Robotics Olympiad (Canada) and Top 1 National Robotics Olympiad.

” Your achievements are a big honor & pride to all Candijaynons. Our development is not limited to infrastructures but it must have an encompassing effect in all areas & sector,” Tutor added.
