Bohol has recorded two cases of the Delta variant of the coronavirus.

The Delta variant was first identified in India.

The provincial government of Bohol said that the first case was recorded in Barangay Ubujan, Tagbilaran City.

The second case of the delta-plus strain was recorded in Barangay Pagahat in Candijay town.

However, Jeryl Lacang-Fuentes, Candijay municipal disaster risk reduction management officer, clarified that the patient, an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), had already recovered after underwent protocol in Clark, Pampanga.

Bohol Inter-Agency Task Force (BIATF) also recorted one Alpha variant case, 8 Beta variant cases and 14 Theta variant cases in the province.

Overall, Bohol reported 789 active cases for Monday, bringing its cumulative total to 10,761, the BIATF reported.
