A drug suspect was arrested in possession of P680,000 worth of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) during a buy-bust operation by combined operatives from the Tagbilaran City police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Bohol Saturday, July 10, 2021.
Lt. Col. Mary Crystal Peralta, chief of Police, commended the operatives for the arrest of suspect Eric Budlong Castardo, 49, a resident of San Miguel Street, Purok 4, Barangay Manga, Tagbilaran City.
The suspect was arrested at about 1:30 p.m. in Purok 2, Barangay Ubujan in Tagbilaran City.
Castardo was placed under surveillance by the police after receiving several complaints on the illegal activities of the suspect.
Police were able to confiscate from the suspect about 100 grams of shabu and estimated to be worth P680, 000.
Charges of violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect.
“We will do our best to serve and protect you at all cost,” Peralta said.
