A fisherman from Limasawa Island in Southern Leyte who went missing Tuesday after his boat encountered engine problem was found alive on Wednesday, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said.

The fisherman was identified as Ruben Orias Rosello, 42, a resident of Barangay Triana, Limasawa Island in Southern Leyte.

PCG-Candijay said Rosello was in good physical condition after he was drifted and successfully rescued at municipal waters off Anda, Bohol on Wednesday night, May 19, 2021.

Rosello said that on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 9 p. m., his motorized banca encountered engine trouble while engaged in fishing venture at seawaters off Limasawa Island. Due to strong current and big waves, he was drifted at the border of municipality of Anda town.
