The tree-planting sites were chosen through recommendations from the local government units and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

The planting activity was part of PNP’s core values on Pulis Makakalikasan (Pro-Environment) and guidance that aimed to protect and preserve mother nature through planting trees “for the next generation to come, that they may feel the bounties and serenity of Mother Earth.”
