The local government unit of Lila in Bohol distributed tablets to students of Lila National High School amid the coronavirus pandemic that has forced youths to spend classes at home.

“On January 26, 2021, we have completed the delivery of the 100 units of Tablets for the High School students of Lila National High School,” Lila Mayor Jed Piollo said on his Facebook post.

At least 100 students were given tablets to be used for the blended distance learning amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“May I take this opportunity to thank the Almighty God for the grace to make this possible and to all those who contributed and helped in one way or another through their money, time and effort despite the personal challenges that we are facing amidst this pandemic,” said Piollo.

To our High School children, please take care of these gadgets and use them well so that it can bring you good and not evil, and so that others after you may also benefit from it.

Piollo said the LGU-Lila was able to raise almost half a million pesos to pay for the 100 gadgets to include the freight and handling and importation customs duties and taxes.

He thanked Ruben Bangod, Clarita Tagab, Zita Fajardo, Atty. Filipina A. Piollo, Arturo And Aster A. Piollo, Lucia Abegail A. Piollo, Rosendo Quitasol, Jing Wang, Roberto Balagosa, Blanche Formilleza and Rosario P. Cahapon for their donations.

With the free gadgets, Piollo said students may adapt to the new normal of distance learning.

“To our High School children, please take care of these gadgets and use them well so that it can bring you good and not evil, and so that others after you may also benefit from it,” said Piollo.
