“The iconic Chocolate Hills of Bohol, Philippines… Ok, but my question is: How were they made?!,” comedian and singer Mikey Bustos asked his fans on Saturday.
Mikey and partner RJ Garcia are in Bohol for a vacation amid the pandemic.

“RJ and I couldn’t believe our eyes! Over 1,700 massive round hills streching as far as the eye could see in all directions. They’re composed largely of limestone, with a layer of topsoil and grasses. In the summer (i.e. March), these massive hills, which look straight out of a Mario Bros video game, turn chocolate brown, hence their name, due to the sun’s heat drying out the grass that grows on them,” he said.
What a geological wonder of the Philippines!
“What a geological wonder of the Philippines! We stared, and stared and stared,” he added.
Mikey shared that aside from the Chocolate Hills there are other things to see in Bohol.

He said the island of Bohol, which relied heavily on tourism prior to the pandemic, is slowly beginning to open up again to tourists after a very long break since lockdown last year in March.
