The Binibining Pilipinas Charities announced Monday that it has allowed reigning Miss Universe Philippines Gazini Ganados to crown her successor in Baguio City on October 25.

The Boholana beauty queen was the last titlist who represented the country in the Miss Universe tilt under the tutelage of the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, which ran the Miss Universe Philippines search for 55 years.

Miss Universe Philippines pageant is now under the franchise of beauty queen Shamcey Supsup and her team.

Binibining Pilipinas Charities also reiterated that Ganados should be safeguarded by health protocols from the time of her departure from Cebu City until her arrival and stay in Baguio City.

Ganados will have the chance to meet her fellow Boholana Pauline Amelinckx who is this year’s official representative of Bohol to the Miss Universe Philippines 2020.

Both were contestants during the Miss Bohol 2017.

Amelinckx was crowned Miss Bohol 2017, while Ganados was adjudged first runner-up.

Amelinckx joined the Mutya Ng Pilipinas 2018 and she crowned Miss Global Beauty Queen Philippines 2018. She was supposed to represent the country in Miss Global Queen but it didn’t happen due to tension in the Middle East.

Ganados placed in the top 20 circle of Miss Universe 2019 and won the best national costume with a Philippine eagle inspired silver outfit designed by Cary Santiago.

The Miss Universe Philippines Organization had earlier said in their statement that they remain committed to ensuring that they follow all of the protocols and guidelines set forth by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

The preliminary competition is scheduled on October 23, while the finale will be held on October 25 at 9 a.m.
