May is considered one of the months perfect for picking fruits especially mango and java plum or more locally known as “lomboy”.

However, it is also a time to observe extra care especially to parents who do not wish to receive news of their child falling off from a tree after trying to get these fruits to eat.

In Bohol, there were already two kids who are now at the hospital while fruit picking.

In Buenavista town, a 12-year-old boy from Barangay Bantuan fell off from a java plum tree after the branch that he stepped on broke.

He fell from an estimated height of about four feet.

In Inabanga town, another nine-year-old boy fell off while picking mangoes.

According to his father, he suffered a fracture on his right leg due to the fall.

Both are now at the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital recuperating from their injuries.
