Another beneficiary of the government’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP) was arrested for illegal drugs in Tagbilaran City, a report from the Tagbilaran City Police.Suspect Arjie Batulan Naya alias “Buktot”, 30, a resident of Amacan Village, in Purok 2 in Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran City,
arrested in a buy-bust operation on Thursday afternoon, May 21, 2020.Police said the suspect, a high value target, received their SAP allowances from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).SAP is the national government’s assistance to families affected by the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.Police recovered from Naya suspected shabu worth P340,000.Cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect.The operation was led by Police Lt. Col. Mary Crystal Bunao Peralta who just recently.assumed as first female chief of police of Tagbilaran City.
