For two days, no additional COVID-19 cases in CV

For two straight days, there are no new positive cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in Central Visayas as of 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

The Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Department through the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center Sub-National Laboratory has released 25 test results today which were all negative.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the region is still at 30.

The one reported from Bohol has already recovered and has been discharged last January 31, 2020.

There were two in Cebu province, four in Negros Oriental, 20 in Cebu City, two in Lapu-Lapu City and one in Mandaue City.

The province of Siquijor has no reported case.

The number of recoveries is still at one.

The number of deaths has rose to six– two in Negros Oriental and four in Cebu City.

However, health authorities said that the absence of new cases on Tuesday should not be a cause to be complacent.

As of 4.p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, the Philippines has 2,084 cases.
