A 48-year old man was hospitalized after he was shot by a still unidentified man in Ubay town on Saturday night, March 28, 2020.
The victim was identified as Josedonvan Labastilla Evangelista, a resident of Purok 2 in Barangay Hambabauran, Ubay town.
Initial investigation by Ubay Police Station showed Evangelista was shot in the chest while talking to his friend identified as Domenic de Guzman, owner of the sarisari store where the victim was located during the attack.
Evangelista was first brought to Don Emilio del Valle Memorial Hospital in Ubay but was transfered to Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City.
Police have yet to identify the gunman and motive behind the crime.
