The Department of Health (DOH) has confirmed the death of one of the patients who tested positive of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In a statement released tonight, DOH said the reported death is the patient with ID PH35 confined at Manila Doctors Hospital in Manila City.

“DOH is currently gathering and validating more information on the reported death,” a portion of their statement reads.

Meanwhile, the agency also recorded its first COVID-19 Cases in Dumaguete City and Cagayan de Oro City, says a separate report from Inquirer.net.

The patient in Dumaguete City (Case#39) is said to be a 64-year-old Filipino man who went to Greenhills recently.

The patient in Cagayan de Oro City (Case#40) is a 54-year-old Filipino man who had no travel history to any of the 109 infected countries nor was he in any close contact with any of the confirmed cases.
