The Miss Universe Philippines released the glamshots of the candidates taken by photographer Filbert Kung on Thursday, February 27.
Filbert’s portfolio includes photos of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.
He worked with Eugene David as creative director and Loris Peña as stylist. The team of Nix Institute of Beauty did the hair and makeup of the candidates.
The candidates wore gowns of their chosen designers.
For Miss Bohol Pauline Amelinckx, she was wearing the creation of Manila-based designer Mikee Andrei.
“In life, always put your best foot forward (with sparkles ✨✨✨ ),” Amelinckx captioned her glam photo on Facebook on Friday night.
Amelinckx will officially represent the province to the Miss Universe Philippines on May 3.
Amelinckx was crowned Miss Bohol 2017 with Miss Philippines- Universe 2019 Gazini Ganados as her first runner-up.
After Miss Bohol, she joined Mutya ng Pilipinas and she was crowned Miss Global Beauty Queen Philippines 2018. She was supposed to represent the country in Miss Global Queen but it didn’t happen due to tension in the Middle East.
