Authorities arrested two barangay officials in a buy-bust operation on Monday afternoon.
The suspects were identified as Alvarado Sumagaysay Butlig Jr., alias Dudz, 34, no. 7 elected barangay councilor of Barangay Poblacion in Inabanga town; and Karim Febrous Boyles Fuentes, 38, no. 3 elected barangay councilor of Barangay Dipatlong in Maribojoc town.
They were arrested at 4:30 p.m.at New Calceta Street in Cogon in Tagbilaran City by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Bohol under provincial officer Joseph Theodore Atila, 703rd Maritime Police Station Bohol led by PSMS Demosthenes Luza and Tagbilaran City Police Station led by Lt. Col. Oscar Boyles and 1st District DEU led by Police Captain Romar Labasbas.
Seized from the suspects were small sachets of suspected to be shabu which worth P 6,800.00 and drug paraphernalia.
Cases for violation of Sec. 5 in relation to Section 26 and Sec. 11 Art. II RA 9165 are now being readied for filing in court.
