The warmth and joy of Christmas brings the people of Anda closer to each other with their Inter-Barangay Christmas Belen Making Contest.
For the past years, they have been making room in their hearts for Jesus by way of their belens— their way of reminding others also to make room in their hearts for the coming of our dear Savior.
The birth of Jesus has been depicted in various forms and continues to be interpreted in modern artistic forms around the world such as the belenismo in Anda town.
Most belens here feature indigenous materials such as bamboo, native wooden baskets, rice straws, recycled materials and decorated with LED lights.
As to who will emerge as the winners in the heart of the judges, you will soon find out on Dec. 19.
