Full LTO Licensing Extension Office opens at Alturas Mall

What used to be a temporary off site printing office has become a full licensing extension office of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) at a mall in Tagbilaran City.Located at the 4th Level of Alturas Mall, the extension office opened on Wednesday, September 18.Regional Director Emmanuel Caindec of the LTO in Central Visayas (LTO-7) said that the office is set to provide better service to the Boholanos.He said it would process applications for new driver’s licenses, student’s permits and license renewal.The event was graced by Tagbilaran City Mayor Baba Yap, Isabelito “Tatay Billy” Tongco (who represented Cong. Edgar Chatto), Marlito Uy of Alturas Group of Companies, former Bohol Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Mayette Gasatan and former Panglao Mayor Doloreich Dumaluan.Previously, only the Tagbilaran LTO, which has long drawn flak from the public due to its congested and alleged slow-paced service, offered the processing of new licenses.Caindec thanked the Alturas Mall management for allowing the LTO to use a space in their mall for free.Meanwhile, the Bohol Medical and Drug Testing Lab owned by Dr. Doloreich Dumaluan beside the said new extension office was also blessed and opened on the same day.
