Rewind: An early morning call and message I received from my dear New Jersey-based friend, Edna Diaz Perez. Nature of her call requesting for support for her niece, Glyssa. Since barely I knew her, I requested Edna to furnish me infos which she obliged.
Herewith: Glyssa is the only girl amongst four children of the Bingas-Perez family. The rest are Gez, Gab and Goody. Gez is married to Hannah, they have two kids and lives in Australia.
She took up Bachelor of Science in Commerce in Sdyney, Australia and graduated major in Finance.
Glyssa is no stranger to pageantry. At the age of 16, she joined beauty contests and emerged winner such as Miss Woodcroft, Miss WOW Blacktown and Charity, and Miss Philippines Australia.
Glyssa was Miss Bohol 2016, and Miss JCI Philippines 2016.
In 2017, she joined Miss World Philippines and named 1st runner-up.
Her advocacy was breast cancer awareness. Why? Her mother was a cancer survivor. During the candidates press presentation weeks ago, she emphasized her willingness to be of service to people who are victims of breast cancer.
For the second-time she tried the mainstream pageant whose aim is beauty with a purpose.
