Shellfish gathering banned in Dauis, Tagbilaran after red tide organism detected

Coastal waters of Dauis and Tagbilaran City have tested positive for the presence of Pyrodinium bahamense, a toxic dinoflagellate that causes paralytic shellfish poisoning, prompting authorities to issue a local shellfish advisory.
