PPOC, PADAC report decline in crime; highlight progress in anti-drug campaigns at joint meeting

The Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), in conjunction with the Provincial Development Council (PDC), held a joint meeting on June 23, 2025, at the Ceremonial Hall of the New Capitol Building to review Bohol’s peace and order status and strengthen ongoing anti-crime, anti-drug, and rehabilitation efforts.

BOHOL REMAINS A ZERO INSURGENCY PROVINCE

The province of Bohol is still a zero insurgency province, the Philippine Army confirmed during the joint Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) meeting at the Capitol’s Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall on April 3.

Of the 47 towns and one city in Bohol, three towns lead the list of attaining an almost perfect number of drug cleared barangays, a report shared at the recent Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) and the Provincial peace and Order Council (PPOC) joint meeting showed.

Crimes escalate, but crime solution efficiency increase

Except for homicide, crimes involving the attainment of peace and order surged to an already high 17.79 percent, as local police authorities scamper to find the leak that could smear a bad image to the province that banks on tourism and more investments.
