Globe introduces SMS Scam Shield to help protect customers from rising text-based scams

Globe has launched a new SMS Scam Shield feature on the GlobeOne app to help protect users from the growing threat of text-based phishing attacks, particularly those sent through spoofed Globe or GCash sender IDs. The feature, currently available to Android users, is Globe’s latest move in bolstering customer security in the face of increasingly sophisticated fraud tactics.

City partners with GCash on swipe card citizen ID

In yet another innovation in digitalization as promised during her inauguration, city mayor Jane Yap said the city partnered with GCash for its pioneering Tagbilaran Cityzens ID launching by issuing CGash ID Cards embedded with Europay, Mastercard and Visa microchip, for senior citizens, solo parents and persons with disabilities in simple ceremonies at the City Hall Grounds, April 25.
