TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — Fifteen candidates representing the barangays of Tagbilaran City will compete for the Mutya sa Tagbilaran 2026 crown during the grand coronation night on Tuesday, June 30, at 8 p.m. at the Bohol Wisdom School Gymnasium.
The annual beauty pageant is one of the major highlights of the Saulog Tagbilaran 2026 celebration, promoting beauty, talent, leadership, and community involvement among the city’s young women.
Competing for this year’s title are Zia Angela Mondilla of Bool, Kathline Siason of Booy, Shoshana B. Lefler of Cabawan, Larsine Grace O. Jensen of Cogon, Channah Shanayd G. Sadler of Dampas, Nikah Isabelle Bagsac of Dao, Candy Rose C. Anderson of Manga, Angel Laurienne Pearson of Mansasa, Jhea Marie C. Dupalco of Poblacion I, Shian Angelikha Daniel Bajao of Poblacion II, Maureen A. Macalam of Poblacion III, Ella Rheane C. Dano of San Isidro, Irish Niña A. Madayag of Taloto, Gracelle Gwen G. Uli of Tiptip, and Anna Mae Via T. Amba of Ubujan.
Mayor Jane Yap said the pageant serves as a platform for empowering young women and recognizing their contributions to community and nation-building.
She said Mutya sa Tagbilaran goes beyond a beauty competition by giving candidates the opportunity to promote advocacies and become role models in their respective barangays.
Before the coronation night, the candidates took part in a series of pre-pageant activities, including the Advocacy Competition on June 15, the Talent Night on June 22, and the Closed-Door Interview and Swimsuit Competition on June 24.
Organizers said the contestants will be judged not only on their poise and stage presence but also on their commitment to advocacies focused on community development, environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and civic engagement.
The winners will receive cash prizes, special awards from sponsors, and will serve as goodwill ambassadors of Tagbilaran City during their reign.
