TAGBILARAN CITY — The Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) has intensified its enforcement campaign under “Oplan Bulabog,” resulting in the apprehension and rescue of thousands of individuals for various ordinance violations across the province.

Under the leadership of Patricio Degay Jr, BPPO reported a total of 6,418 individuals apprehended or rescued from April 13 to April 19, 2026, based on its weekly monitoring report.

Police data showed that the highest number involved rescued minors, reaching 2,641, as authorities continued efforts to protect children from potential harm and unsafe situations.

Traffic-related violations at the city and municipal levels accounted for 1,507 cases, while 1,153 individuals were cited for drinking in public places.

Another 834 were apprehended for violating other local ordinances.
Meanwhile, 201 individuals were penalized for smoking in public places, and 80 were cited for loitering or roaming the streets.

Two individuals were also fined for unauthorized use of karaoke.

BPPO said the sustained operations aim to safeguard the public—particularly the youth—and ensure strict compliance with local laws to maintain peace and order in the province.

“Oplan Bulabog” is part of the police’s broader initiative to promote discipline, reduce disturbances, and uphold safety across Bohol communities.
