OFFICIAL STATEMENT: THE DUMALUAN FAMILY
ON THE UNLAWFUL DEMOLITION IN BOLOD, PANGLAO
The Dumaluan Family strongly condemns the unlawful and high-handed acts committed on April 9, 2026 in Brgy. Bolod, Panglao, Bohol.
Despite the existence of a valid and subsisting Decision of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 49, Tagbilaran City—clearly enjoining the enforcement of the Notice of Demolition—officials proceeded to forcibly demolish the gate of Marilou Resort.
This act is a blatant violation of a lawful court order.
The use of overwhelming police force and the resulting injuries to personnel are not only excessive—they are unlawful.
No writ of mandamus can justify the disregard of a standing injunctive order.
Public officials are bound to uphold the law—not ignore it.
We will pursue all legal remedies to hold those responsible accountable.
