TAGBILARAN CITY — With global attention set to focus on Bohol, Police Brigadier General Redrico A. Maranan, regional director of Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7), together with Police Colonel Patricio  Degay Jr., provincial director of the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO), led a full-scale simulation exercise to strengthen security preparations for the upcoming Association of SouthEast Asian Nations (Asean) Summit meetings.

The high-level exercise aimed to assess the operational readiness, inter-unit coordination, and rapid response capabilities of the Bohol police force in ensuring the safety and security of high-ranking international delegates—from their arrival to movements and venue security.

Key locations were covered during the simulation, including the Bohol–Panglao International Airport (BPIA), the main entry point for foreign delegates. Police units evaluated arrival procedures, security screening, perimeter control, and crowd management protocols. A convoy run from the airport to designated hotels and meeting venues was also conducted to test the efficiency, security, and timing of delegate transport.

Authorities said the activity highlighted the Philippine National Police’s commitment to providing a safe, orderly, and world-class security environment for the Asean Summit. The exercise also showcased Bohol’s readiness to host global leaders with professionalism, precision, and confidence.
