JAGNA, BOHOL – A Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman in Barangay Pangdan, Jagna, Bohol died in a motorcycle accident that has stirred public curiosity due to a series of number coincidences linked to his life and death.
The victim was identified as Elias Jamisola Abres, SK chairman of Barangay Pangdan. He was declared dead on arrival at Teodoro B. Galagar District Hospital.
Initial reports said Abres was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and was riding a borrowed motorcycle when the accident happened in their village.
What caught attention online was the unusual set of “22s” connected to his passing: his birthday was December 22, he was 22 years old, wore jersey number 22, his last basketball score was 22, and he died on September 22.
Abres had only served for two months as SK chairman, after succeeding the originally elected chair who vacated the post to continue his studies.
Police in Jagna are still conducting further investigation into the incident.
