A six-year-old girl died after being attacked by a king cobra outside her house in Barangay Mahayag in Alicia town, on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 10.
Rain Heart Madrigal was at the back at her house to gather the washed clothes when a king cobra — locally known as “banakon” bit hee.
She rushed to a hospital in Ubay town but she was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
The victim succumbed to the poisonous snake venom.
The snake was killed by neigbors.
