A senior citizen died after being stabbed by his drinking buddy in Batuan town on Monday night, Sept. 11, 2023.
The victim was identified as Rogelio Llamado, 68, a resident of Barangay Rosariohan, Batuan.
He died while being treated by doctors at the Carmen District Hospital due to serious injuries.
The suspect identified as Larry Lingatong, 41, surrendered to police.
Initial investigation disclosed that the victim and the suspect were having a drinking spree when a heated argument erupted between the two.
Lingatong stabbed the suspect in the chest.
He was rushed to Congressman Toribio Hospital in nearby Carmen town by his relatives but after a few minutes, due to internal bleeding, he was declared dead by Dr. Julianne Deo B. Jabonillo, attending physician.
The kitchen knife used by the suspect was receovered.
