Wounded cops in Bohol awarded

The policemen who were wounded during a buy-bust operation in Carmen town were awarded Medalya ng Sugating Magiting (PNP Wounded Medal) by the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday.

Police Brigadier General Ignatius Ferro, Police Regional Director, conferred the PNP Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting on PMSg Raulito Generalao and PSSg Emil Ilustrisimo, who sustained hacking wounds from a bolo, used by the father-in-law of the suspect during buy-bust operation on September 12, 2020 in Sitito Proper 1, Barangay Bicao in Carmen.

These two police officers who are currently confined and undergoing medical treatment at the Cong. Simeon Toribio Memorial Hospital in Carmen, Bohol personally received financial assistance from PRO7.

Present during the occasion were Carmen Mayor Jun Toribio, Col. Joselito Clarito, Provincial Director of Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO), Carmen Police Station, BPPO, and BPPO astaff officers.

Meanwhile, the suspect Marvin Madera escaped during the operation but he later surrendered on September 14, 2020.

Mader’s father-in-law identified as Rodolfo Galacio died during the operation.
