A drug den inside the Taloto Public Cemetery in Barangay Taloto, Tagbilaran City, Bohol, was dismantled and nine were arrested during a buy-bust operation.

In a belated report from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – Central Visayas, arrested was the subject of the operation and drug den maintainer, identified as Bernard Manlupig.

Also arrested were eight drug den visitors identified as Rogelio Valmores, Ruel Acuzar, Allan David Despi, Joseph Mahinay, Christopher Caballero, Rodel Libres, Erwin Valera (all tricycle drivers), and Jesse Arocha (multicab driver).

Confiscated during the operation were 10 packs of suspected shabu weighing around 13 grams with an estimated market value of P88,400, one piece plastic box containing seeds believed to be marijuana, buy-bust money, cash believed to be proceeds from the drug den, and various drug paraphernalia.

The pieces of drug evidence have been submitted for chemical analysis.

Cases for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, and 12 Article II of RA9165 will be filed against the suspects.

Dismantling of drug dens is considered a high-impact operation as drug dens are breeding ground for violence and criminality and disrupt peace and order in the community.
