Six provinces are now placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 as Tropical Storm Jenny (international name: Podul) continues to inch toward the Philippine landmass.

“Jenny” was located 290 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon. It packs maximum sustained winds of up to 65 kph near the center and gusts of up to 80 kph.

In its 5 p.m. weather bulletin, Pagasa noted Signal No. 2 was raised over the following areas:

Isabela
Aurora
Quirino
Nueva Vizcaya
Ifugao
Mountain Province

On the other hand, the following areas were placed under Signal No. 1:

Cagayan
Apayao
Abra
Kalinga
Benguet
Ilocos Norte
Ilocos Sur
La Union
Pangasinan
Nueva Ecija
Tarlac
Zambales
Bataan
Pampanga
Bulacan
Metro Manila
Rizal
Northern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands and Alabat Island
Cavite
Laguna
Camarines Norte
Northeastern portion of Camarines Sur
Catanduanes

According to state weather bureau Pagasa, Jenny is expected to make landfall in Aurora between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains may affect Western Visayas and the rest of Luzon.
