Weather officials have placed some Luzon provinces under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.1 on Thursday, August 22, due to Tropical Storm Ineng, which slightly intensified and continued to enhance the southwest monsoon.

The following areas are under TCWS No.1:
Batanes
Cagayan including Babuyan Group of Islands
Isabela
Apayao
Kalinga
Northern Abra
Ilocos Norte
In its 11 a.m. bulletin, Pagasa said Ineng — packing maximum sustained winds of up to 75 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 90 kilometer per hour — will bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains over the Bicol Region, Northern Samar, and Quezon Province.
Pagasa issued gale warning No. 1 at 5 a.m. on Thursday, August 22, covering the eastern seaboards of Southern Luzon and Eastern Visayas due to Tropical Storm Ineng.

The state weather bureau said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers are expected in Bohol and the Visayas for the next 24 hours.
“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest to West will prevail over the Eastern section of Visayas and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough,” the 6 a.m. weather update reads.
Southwest monsoon, meanwhile, will bring light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains over Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro Provinces, northern Palawan (including Calamian and Cuyo Islands), Antique and Aklan.

Pagasa advised residents in the affected areas, especially those in flood and landslide prone areas, to take precautionary measures and coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices.
Sea travel is risky over the eastern seaboards of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao due to potentially rough sea conditions.
