A man who only went to Guimaras to formally ask the hand of his girlfriend will no longer get the chance to exchange vows with his future wife. 
Cebuano Romeo Baguio Jr. of Barangay Ermita in Cebu City was among the fatalities in the sea tragedy in Guimaras Strait that claimed the lives of at least 27 people.

According to local newspaper Superbalita Cebu, the future bride Maria Nieves Grandeza survived the incident but their three-year-old son, Jay Arvien also didn’t make it. 
Among those who were dead include Angelina Baguio, Romnel Baguio, Dannylyn Alima Baguio, Jared Janson, and Romeo Baguio Sr. 
Two were believed to be missing as of this 12 noon on Monday. They were Bernardo Janson and Dannelle Alima Baguio. 
Meanwhile, the Office of the Presidential Assistant to the Visayas (OPAV) Secretary Michael Dino sent a personnel to coordinate with the Office of the Civil Defense in Western Visayas (OCD-6) to facilitate for the transport of the dead bodied from Guimaras and back to Barangay Ermita.

In order to do this, he has tapped the Philippine Air Force to make the transport possible.

Dino will also be extending help to other victims from the said tragedy.
