Three months of surveillance led to the successful arrest of a suspected drug peddler and his source in a buy-bust operation conducted on early Thursday morning.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Bohol led the arrest of the first suspected drug peddler Joven Daguplo, 22, a resident of Lindaville Subdivison, at 11 p.m. on Wednesday at Peñaflor Street in Barangay Booy in this city.
According to lawyer Rennan Augustus Oliva, director of NBI-Bohol, sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P40,000 were seized from Daguplo.

In another follow-up operation, Daguplo’s source of suspected shabu was also arrested at 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, at the his boarding house in Barangay Dampas.
The suspect was identified as 31-year-old law student Albert John Bernaldez from Guindulman town.
A total of 22 strips of suspected shabu worth P25,000 were seized from Bernaldez’ possession.
The suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
