Sixteen out of the 47 towns and city in Bohol province has participated in the 2019 Sandugo Agri Fair and Garden Products showcase at the Agricultural Promotions Center (APC) and Tagbilaran City Hall Grounds on Tuesday.

The Agri Fair has become a regular platform for farmers of each town to showcase their products.
The towns that participated include Carmen, Cortes, Balilihan, Sikatuna, Talibon, Calape, Panglao, Jagna, Pilar, Loboc, Trinidad, Bilar, Batuan, Baclayon, Valencia and the city of Tagbilaran.
Department of Agriculture Central Visayas (DA-7) Regional Director Salvador Diputado led the opening together with Phileus Blanco, representing Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II, Atty. Catherine Pioquinto, Provincial Administrator, Abeleon Damalerio, who represented Rep. Edgar Chatto of the 1st district of Bohol, and Provincial Agriculture OIC Larry Pamugas.

This year’s fair bears the theme, “Panguma nga may Patigayun, maoy yawe sa Kalambuan sa atong Banikanhon nga Lalawigang Bol-anon”.
Apart from the local government units (LGUs), there were also commercial exhibitors and organizations who joined the fair.
The garden show also showcases the works of the Landscapers Associations in Bohol.
Today, there will be a variety of activities lined up including Imelda Papin Voice Alike, Renz Verano Voice Alike Singing Contest, Pinaka Contest, Bahalina Drinking Contest, “Pakontest sa Paglubok ug Pagtahop-alig-ig”, manual coconut peeling and grating, deboning milkfish and tilapia.

Later in the afternoon, there will also be Argibusiness Day Market matching at the Conference Hall at Bohol APC.
On July 25, it will be a showcase of organic products and crops and on the last day, the 26th, will be Fisheries Day. / (Rey Anthony Chiu, PIA-Bohol)
