The world stopped for a while in Tagbilaran City on Sunday.
On Maria Clara Street, at least a hundred men watched the fight of Senator Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thurman on a small TV screen set up outside Gerisonic Electronics and Communication System for free viewing.

Since there were no chairs, they had to stand for hours.
Most of those who watched here were tricycle drivers who just stopped to watch the fight.

Jessie Mesagrande, 48, was among those who watched the fight on Maria Clara street.
He said he was for Pacquiao but acknowledged that Thurman was a formidable opponent who could end Pacquiao’s career.
“He is a legend at 40. Pacman proved that he is the only Champ,” he said.
Whenever there’s a Pacquiao fight, it’s also a plus for the police force.
The Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) recorded a zero crime rate from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the fight.//
