This is a developing story.
The son of a former barangay captain in Bohol was killed inside his shop in Barangay Pahina San Nicolas, Cebu City on Friday night, July 19.
Police identified the victim as Ninolito Abas Abaño, 49, who was killed by unknown suspects inside his shop at past 11 p.m. on Friday, July 19.
As of this writing, police are still investigating the shooting incident.
Ninolito’s father, Alejandro Abaño, the former village chief of Jagoliao, an island in Getafe, Getafe town in Bohol, was also killed by still unidentified assailants while sleeping inside his house at past 4 a.m. on June 28.
He succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. He died on the spot.
He was with his wife, incumbent Jagoliao Barangay Captain Enriqueta, who was left unharmed, in a room on the second floor.
But Abaño’s personal help, Johnrey Boc, was also killed during the attack.
Albano and his wife are natives of Getafe, but they have a business in Barangay Pasil, Cebu City.
