Two teenagers died when their motorcycle collided with a sport utility vehicle (SUV)  in barangay Bil-isan in Panglao town on Wednesday night, police said.

Marlon Ambi, and his back rider Niño Rey Diwang, both 18, and residents of  Barangay San Miguel in Dagohoy town, died on the spot when they accidentally collided head-on with a Nissan Terra in Barangay (village) Bil-isan at 9:50 p.m.

Police Corporal Marlon Cuidadano of Panglao Police Station said Ambi was speeding when his motorcycle collided with a Nisan Terra driven by Leo Ildefonso Calipusan, 44, a son of Loboc Mayor Leon Calipusan.

Calipusan surrendered to Panglao police station after the incident. He was later released after reaching an amicable settlement with the victim’s families, police said.
