Large part of the province of Bohol is experiencing cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers on Sunday afternoon due to the low pressure area (LPA) spotted 980 km east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

In an advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA may also develop into a tropical depression on or before Tuesday.

If the LPA develops into a tropical depression, it will be named “Falcon” and would be the country’s 6th tropical cyclone this year.

Pagasa added that Eastern Visayas and Mindanao will continue to experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and scattered thunderstorms.

The state weather bureau also advised the public to continue monitoring weather updates.
