Another person has died by apparent suicide, police have confirmed. The death comes six days after a 15 year-old student took his own life.
A 26-year-old man was found dead in the ceiling of their home in Baclayon town.
Nikko (not his real name) apparently killed himself inside the ceiling of their living room, according to Princess Millabe, a non-uniform personnel of the Baclayon Police Station.
It was the father who discovered the lifeless body of his son at past 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9.
According to Police Corporal Manuel Cuaco, Jr., while the family were at the living room, they were surprised of dark red liquid which was dripping from the ceiling.
Suspecting that the liquid might be blood, the father traced it to the ceiling of their house and found his son already lifeless with a cable wire tied around his neck.
Police said that they were alerted to an incident at 4 p.m. on that same day.
Subsequent investigation revealed that there were no indications of foul play behind the man’s death.
The family said they last saw Nikko last July 7 at 5 p.m.
Before his death, Nikko is said to be dealing with financial problem.
