Lapu-Lapu police are investigating after a man was found dead in a car on Tuesday early morning, July 9.

Around 2:49 a.m., officers responded to a report from a motorist that a car was stuck on the center island on the Mandaue-bound lane of the bridge that caused heavy traffic in the area.

When they arrived, they found the lifeless body of a man inside a grey Toyota Wigo.

The man had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.

However, responding police also found a suicide note inside the victim’s vehicle.  It detailed his problem about his family.

Police are still investigating further the incident.
