The top official Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7) announced this week that they submitted an endorsement to Camp Crame the name for a new director for Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO).
PRO-7 director Brig. Gen. Debold Sinas said that they received a letter coming from Bohol Governor Arthur Yap requesting for a new provincial director.
“We already send it to Camp Crame. We are just waiting for PNP chief’s order,” said Sinas.
He said that Gov. Yap specifically endorsed Police Col. Jonathan Cabal, the current chief of logistics in PRO-7, to be the new BPPO director.
Sinas said that they heed the request of the governor as the latter has the right also to endorse a police director. Cabal will be replacing Col. Julius Cesar Gornez.
Gornez replaced Senior Supt. Angeles Geñorga, Jr., who served the province for 11 months and five days, last January 2019.
Aside from BPPO, the new local chief executives of cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu in Cebu also endorsed new city directors for their police offices.
