A former village chief of an island barangay in Getafe town was shot and killed this morning inside his home.
Former barangay captain Alejandro Abaño was shot several times when three armed men barged into his house this morning (June 28).
According to Police Capt. Benicer Tamboboy, chief of Getafe Police Station, that they are yet to establish the motive of the killing.
One of the angles they are looking is the possible grudge of another individual with Albaño’s political leaning.
The killing happened between 4:30am – 5am. However, police only received of this report this morning. //
