In reaction to bashers saying she only looks pretty with makeup, newly crowned Miss Universe Philippines Gazini Ganados removed her makeup on national TV.
“Why not?” the newly crowned beauty queen said on Tonight With Boy Abunda.
Abunda commended her for showing her bare face on national TV.
“You did not have to do you it. But thank you for doing it. You are so brave,” Abunda said.
“Sa tinagal-tagal ko sa telebisyon, this is the first time that a beauty queen actually takes off her makeup in front of me on national television. What a girl!” said Abunda.
She told Abunda about her “weakness” in public speaking.
“I appreciate the criticism because I know there’s so much to learn and improve in myself. The first step is accepting it and then innovating it. Ang ayaw ko lang is when those bashers go below the belt,” the beauty queen said.
Ganados, a beauty queen from Cebu, traced her roots to Loon town in Bohol. She was also proclaimed 1st runner-up in Miss Bohol 2017.
As the successor of Catriona Gray as Bb. Pilipinas Miss Universe crown, she will be representing the country to the next Miss Universe pageant.
